What is LiverWELL® – THEApp?

LiverWELL® is an easy to use mobile app to help people manage their liver health with functions to help:

  • Include reminders to take medications
  • Schedule medical appointments
  • Record test results
  • Keep personal health notes all in one place.

TheApp also contains up to date information about liver health and self-management.

FAQs

Your Privacy

  • Why do I need to login for the My Medications/My Appointment/My Results areas of the app?A: These areas are password protected to ensure your personal data is not accessedby anyone else without your permission.
  • Is my privacy protected?
    A: Yes, the personal data you enter in the app is kept on your phone and can only be accessed by you
  • Will you or other organisations contact me if I register for the password protected areas of the app?
    A: To register you share an email address which we will not share with any other organisation. Every 6 months or so we may send an email to your email address seeking feedback on LiverWELL.
  • I don’t ever want to be contacted by you for surveys about the app or anything, what do I need to do?
    A: Just send an email to info@hepvic.org.au telling us just that.
  • How do I remove myself completely from your system?
    A: Just delete the LiverWELL app and send an email to info@helpvic.org.au telling us to remove the email you registered with.

LiverWELL App Functions

  • How do I register to use the password protected area of the app?
    A: The password protected areas are Manage Medications, Add Results andSchedule Appointments. You can access these by creating an account and then login using the email and password indicated. Please memorise your email and password as they are crucial for accessing your account.
  • What can I use the app for if I don’t register?
    If you don’t register you can use the app homepage to get the latest news fromHepatitis Victoria and the Living Well section (bottom right hand) which gives you information on Eating Well, Feeling Well, Getting Active and being Drink Aware.You can also link to More liver news our regularly updated HEPChat e-news letter.
  • When I try to log “this email is not verified” appears what does it mean?
    A: That means you haven’t clicked on the email that is sent to your nominated emailaddress to activate your account a vital step in set up.
  • What if I have forgotten my password?
    A: You can reset your password by clicking on Forgot password? Instructions will be sent to your nominated email address to create a new password.

Languages

  • How can I view the translated parts of the app?
    A: Click on the world icon in the top right hand of the opened app. A drop-down menu will allow you to choose English, Vietnamese, Chinese and Arabic, just click and play.
  • Which languages can I view the app in?
    A: Arabic, English, Simplified Chinese and Vietnamese
  • Why isn’t it all translated?
    A: The apps main functions are translated to help users who feel more comfortable in those languages. Unfortunately, we don’t have the resources to fully translate everything.
  • When will you have other language versions?
    A: Depending on the demand we may have other language versions when the next iteration of the app is created.

Manage Medications

  • What information can I save in My Medications?
    A: You can save the name of a medication, the schedule of its use, multiple dose timings and you can add reminders to let your phone tell you when you need to take you medication. You can also add notes about how much you need to take, etc.
  • I want to add a medication, is there a dropdown menu for medications?A: No, you need to type in the name of the medication.
  • Can I schedule more than one dose of medicine every day? Is there a limit?A: Yes, you can. And there is no practical limit.
  • Can I schedule medicines for every day of the week?A: Yes, you can.
  • Can I schedule a reminder for more than 30 minutes before?A: No, you can schedule for 30, 15 or 10 minutes before.
  • How long will the reminders continue for in my calendar?A: Reminders will continue as long as you keep them there.
  • How can I remove a scheduled medication?
  • A: Click on the scheduled medication in the My Medication tab and at the top of thepage you will see Edit medication on the left and DELETE on the right. Proceed to edit the medication or delete.

Add Results

  • What information can I save in My Results?
    A: If you have hepatitis B or hepatitis C you can save data about your viral load, and monitor your progress over time. If you have the data you can enter results from the past. ALT, Fibroscan, Weight, Ultrasound notes and Other records and results can be saved.
  • I want to add a different result in ‘Other’ can I name the ‘other’ result?
    A: Other is for all other results and notes so you can name individual entries.
  • In the weight results can I change to pounds rather than kilograms?
    A: No, we can only save in kilograms. 1 kilo = 2.2 Ibs. So 95Kg = 95 X 2.2 = 209 Ib
  • How many results can I add, is there a limit?A: There is no practical limit.
  • Can I back-date results, and if so, from when?
    A: Yes, you can backdate, just scroll the calendar to the left.

Schedule Appointments

  • What information can I save in My Appointments?
    A: You can save comprehensive information about an appointment including the date and time, with reminders up to a day to 5 minutes before. You can add information about the location and the name of the doctor. You can add notes and doctor’s notes.
  • What are the ‘doctor’s notes’ for? Are they for the doctor to input into the app?A: Doctor’s notes are for you to manually input any notes the doctor may scrawldown or tell you verbally.
  • Can I set multiple reminders for the same appointment?A: Just one appointment reminder is possible.
  • Can I schedule more than one appointment every day? Is there a limit?
    A: Yes, you can schedule as many appointments as you wish in a day, there is no practical limit.
  • How long will the reminders continue for in my calendar?A: Reminders will stay in your calendar until you delete them.
  • How can I remove a scheduled appointment?
    A: 
    Just click on the scheduled appointment in the calendar find ‘edit’ or DELETE at thetop of the page and then proceed as desired.

  • What can I find in the Living Well area?
    A: The Living Well section which gives you lots of information on the latest tips and advice on Eating Well, Feeling Well, Getting Active and being Drink Aware.
  • What can I find in ‘More liver news’?
    A: More liver news is a library of HEPChat our regular digital news digest of news and information primarily for people with liver disease living in Victoria, but applicable to anyone anywhere with an interest in liver health.
  • How often is ‘The latest from Hepatitis Victoria’ updated?
    A: It is updated regularly, weekly or more often, check for updates.
